（彼土利生了利百加。）”這八個人，都是密迦給亞伯拉罕的兄弟拿鶴生的兒子。

以撒領利百加進了他母親撒拉的帳棚，並且娶了她。利百加就作了以撒的妻子。以撒愛利百加。以撒自從他母親去世後，這才得了安慰。

然後你要在耶和華你的神面前說：‘我的祖先原是個飄泊流亡的亞蘭人；他下到埃及，在那裡寄居；他人數稀少，在那裡卻成了又大又強、人數又多的國。

當天晚上，神在夢中來到亞蘭人拉班那裡，對他說：“你要小心，不可與雅各說甚麼。”

又趕著他所有的牲畜，帶著他所得的一切財物，就是他在巴旦．亞蘭所得的一切牲畜，要到迦南地，他父親以撒那裡去。

雅各瞞著亞蘭人拉班﹙“瞞著亞蘭人拉班”直譯是“偷了亞蘭人拉班的心”﹚，沒有告訴拉班他將要逃走。

於是，以撒打發雅各去了，雅各就往巴旦．亞蘭去，到了亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裡。拉班就是雅各和以掃的母親利百加的哥哥。以掃見以撒給雅各祝福，又打發他到巴旦．亞蘭去，在那裡娶妻；又見以撒給雅各祝福的時候，吩咐他說：“你不可娶迦南的女子為妻”；

雅各從巴旦．亞蘭回來以後，神再次向他顯現，賜福給他。

以利沙先知的時候，以色列中有許多患痲風的人，其中除了敘利亞的乃縵，沒有一個得潔淨的。”
