Yahweh, the God of heaven— who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying,‘ I will give this land to your offspring— he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

主宰上天之耶和華天主、導我出父家、離宗族之地、應許我、且誓曰、我必以此地賜爾後裔者、必將遣其使者導爾、使爾為我子娶妻於故土、

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying,‘ To your offspring I will give this land’— he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there.

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, took me away from my father’s family. He brought me out of my own land. He made me a promise. He said,‘ I will give this land to your family after you.’ The Lord will send his angel ahead of you. So you will be able to get a wife for my son from there.

The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me,‘ To your offspring I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

For the Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and my native land, solemnly promised to give this land to my descendants. He will send his angel ahead of you, and he will see to it that you find a wife there for my son.

Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.

In that day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

“ Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them,‘ I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.’”

“ In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever.

Yahweh appeared to him the same night, and said,“ I am the God of Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”

‘ Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,

and said,“‘ I have sworn by myself,’ says Yahweh,‘ because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies.All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

Praise Yahweh, you angels of his, who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word, obeying the voice of his word.

Now Yahweh said to Abram,“ Leave your country, and your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”So Abram went, as Yahweh had told him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy- five years old when he departed from Haran.Abram took Sarai his wife, Lot his brother’s son, all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they went to go into the land of Canaan. They entered into the land of Canaan.Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time, Canaanites were in the land.Yahweh appeared to Abram and said,“ I will give this land to your offspring.” He built an altar there to Yahweh, who had appeared to him.

In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

“ Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

‘ Because Yahweh was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore to them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.’

It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.

Yahweh’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said,“ I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you.

By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.

Yahweh said to him,“ This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”

Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his offspring after him, when he still had no child.

surely you shall not come into the land concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Behold, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers— to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob— to give to them and to their offspring after them.’”

I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

“ Cyrus king of Persia says,‘ Yahweh, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
