The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying,‘ To your descendants I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

耶和华天上的主曾带领我离开父家和本族的地，对我说话，向我起誓说：‘我要将这地赐给你的后裔。’他必差遣使者在你面前，你就可以从那里为我儿子娶一个妻子。

主宰上天之耶和華天主、導我出父家、離宗族之地、應許我、且誓曰、我必以此地賜爾後裔者、必將遣其使者導爾、使爾為我子娶妻於故土、

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying,‘ To your offspring I will give this land’— he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there.

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, took me away from my father’s family. He brought me out of my own land. He made me a promise. He said,‘ I will give this land to your family after you.’ The Lord will send his angel ahead of you. So you will be able to get a wife for my son from there.

The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me,‘ To your offspring I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

For the Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and my native land, solemnly promised to give this land to my descendants. He will send his angel ahead of you, and he will see to it that you find a wife there for my son.

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.

for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:“ To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—

“ Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.For My Angel will go before you and bring you in to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.

You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them,‘ I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’”

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said,“ I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.”

‘ surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me,

and said:“ By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.

Now the Lord had said to Abram:“ Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land.Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

‘ Because the Lord was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.’

And it shall be, when the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, which He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.

Then the Angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said:“ I led you up from Egypt and brought you to the land of which I swore to your fathers; and I said,‘ I will never break My covenant with you.

By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;

Then the Lord said to him,“ This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.”

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.

Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in.

See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to your fathers— to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob— to give to them and their descendants after them.’

Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.
