因為我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話，這是你們知道的，也沒有藏着貪心，這是上帝可以作證的。

這眾百姓豈是我懷的胎，豈是我生下來的呢？你竟對我說：『把他們抱在懷裏，如養育之父抱着吃奶的嬰孩，一直抱到你起誓應許給他們祖宗的土地去。』

僕人拿出金器、銀器和衣服送給利百加，又將貴重的物品送給她哥哥和她母親。

他們就為利百加祝福，對她說：「我們的妹妹啊，願你作千萬人的母親！願你的後裔得着仇敵的城門！」
