僕人對他們說：「耶和華既然使我道路亨通，你們就不要躭誤我，請讓我走，回我主人那裏去吧！」

於是他們送他們的妹妹利百加和她的奶媽，同亞伯拉罕的僕人，以及隨從他的人走了。

於是約瑟送他的兄弟們回去，對他們說：「你們不要在路上爭吵。」

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：「讓我跑去報信給王，耶和華已經為王伸冤，使他脫離仇敵的手了。」

不要說：為甚麼先前的日子強過現今的日子呢？你這樣問不是出於智慧。

以撒送雅各走了，雅各就往巴旦‧亞蘭去，到亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裏，拉班是利百加的哥哥，利百加是雅各和以掃的母親。以掃見以撒已經為雅各祝福，而且送他往巴旦‧亞蘭去，在那裏娶妻，並且見以撒祝福雅各的時候吩咐他說：「不要娶迦南的女子為妻」，

你看見辦事殷勤的人嗎？他必侍立在君王面前，不在平庸的人面前。

守望的人說：「我看前面那人的跑法，好像撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯的跑法。」王說：「他是個好人，是來報好消息的。」亞希瑪斯向王呼叫說：「平安了！」他就臉伏於地向王叩拜，說：「耶和華－你的上帝是應當稱頌的，他已把那些舉手攻擊我主我王的人交出來了。」

鬼已從身上出去的那人懇求要和耶穌在一起，耶穌卻打發他回去，說：「你回家去，傳講上帝為你做了多麼大的事。」他就走遍全城，傳揚耶穌為他做了多麼大的事。
