Then Zadok’s son Ahimaaz said,“ Let me run to the king with the good news that the Lord has rescued him from his enemies.”

Don’t long for“ the good old days.” This is not wise.

So Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Paddan aram to stay with his uncle Laban, his mother’s brother, the son of Bethuel the Aramean.Esau knew that his father, Isaac, had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan aram to find a wife, and that he had warned Jacob,“ You must not marry a Canaanite woman.”

Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people.

The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him. But Jesus sent him home, saying,“ No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him.
