僕人對他們說：『別躭延我啦；永恆主既使我的路順利，就請讓我走，我好回我主人那裏去。』

於是他們把妹妹利伯加和她的奶媽、同亞伯拉罕的僕人、以及跟僕人來的人、都打發走。

於是約瑟打發他弟兄們回去，他們就走。約瑟又對他們說：『你們在路上可不要爭吵啊。』

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：『容我跑去，報消息給王知道永恆主已經維護了正義、而救王脫離仇敵的手。』

你不要說：『為甚麼先前的日子比如今這些日子好呢？』因為你問到這事、並不是出於智慧。

以撒打發雅各走了，雅各就往巴旦亞蘭去，到亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裏：拉班是雅各、以掃的母親利伯加的哥哥。以掃見以撒已經給雅各祝福，又打發他往巴旦亞蘭去、從那裏娶妻，並且給他祝福時吩咐他說：『不要娶迦南的女子為妻』；

你看辦事敏捷的人吧；他必侍立於君王面前；他不侍立於微賤無名的人面前。

守望的人說：『我看前頭那人的跑法好像撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯的跑法一樣。』王說：『他是個好人，必是來報好消息的。』亞希瑪斯喊叫着對王說：『平安！』就面伏於地，向王下拜、說：『永恆主你的上帝是當受祝頌的，因為他已將舉手攻擊我主我王的人送交給王了。』

鬼所由出的那人祈求耶穌、要跟他在一起；耶穌卻打發他走，說：『回你家去，敘說上帝為你作了多麼大的事。』那人就去，在全城裏各處宣傳耶穌為他作了多麼大的事。
