仆人回答他们：“你们不要挽留我，耶和华既然使我的道路亨通，就请打发我回到我主人那里去。”

于是，他们把自己的妹妹利百加，她的乳母和亚伯拉罕的仆人，以及同来的人，都打发走了。

于是，约瑟打发他的兄弟们回去，他们走的时候，约瑟对他们说：“你们在路上不要争吵。”

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯说：“让我跑去，把这好消息向王报告，就是耶和华已经把他从仇敌的手中拯救出来了。”

你不要说：“为什么从前的日子胜过现在的呢？”你这样问，不是出于智慧。

于是，以撒打发雅各去了，雅各就往巴旦．亚兰去，到了亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里。拉班就是雅各和以扫的母亲利百加的哥哥。以扫见以撒给雅各祝福，又打发他到巴旦．亚兰去，在那里娶妻；又见以撒给雅各祝福的时候，吩咐他说：“你不可娶迦南的女子为妻”；

你见过办事能干的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，必不会侍立在低微的人面前。

守望的人说：“我看前头那人的跑法好像撒督的儿子亚希玛斯的跑法一样。”王说：“他是个好人，必是带好消息来的。”亚希玛斯向王呼叫，说：“平安！”就脸伏于地，叩拜王，说：“耶和华你的神是应当称颂的，因为他已经把举手攻击我主我王的人交给你了！”

鬼已经离开的那人求耶稣，要跟他在一起；但耶稣打发他回去，说：“你回家去，述说神为你作了怎样的事。”他就走遍全城，传讲耶稣为他作了怎样的事。
