可是，老總管說：「既然耶和華已經使我一路順利，請你們不要挽留我，請讓我回到我主人那裡。」

於是，他們讓利百加和她的奶媽跟老總管及隨行的人一同離去，

約瑟送弟兄們回去，囑咐他們路上不要爭吵。

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯對約押說：「請讓我跑回去向王稟告，讓王知道耶和華已從仇敵手中救了他。」

以撒讓雅各前往巴旦·亞蘭，去亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裡。拉班是雅各和以掃的舅父。以掃看見父親給雅各祝福，讓他到巴旦·亞蘭娶妻，叮囑他不要娶迦南的女子，

守衛又說：「從跑的姿勢看，那跑在前面的人好像撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯。」王說：「他是個好人，他一定帶來了好消息。」亞希瑪斯高聲對王說：「一切都好！」他在王面前俯伏叩拜，說：「你的上帝耶和華當受稱頌，祂已經消滅了那些攻擊我主我王的敵人。」

那從前被鬼附身的人懇求跟耶穌同行，耶穌卻對他說：「你回家吧，把上帝為你所行的奇事告訴別人。」他就回去，走遍全城，四處傳揚耶穌為他所行的奇事。
