可是，老总管说：“既然耶和华已经使我一路顺利，请你们不要挽留我，请让我回到我主人那里。”

于是，他们让利百加和她的奶妈跟老总管及随行的人一同离去，

约瑟送弟兄们回去，嘱咐他们路上不要争吵。

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯对约押说：“请让我跑回去向王禀告，让王知道耶和华已从仇敌手中救了他。”

不要问为什么过去比现在好，因为这样问不明智。

以撒让雅各前往巴旦·亚兰，去亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里。拉班是雅各和以扫的舅父。以扫看见父亲给雅各祝福，让他到巴旦·亚兰娶妻，叮嘱他不要娶迦南的女子，

你看那精明能干的人，他必侍立在君王面前，不会效力于泛泛之辈。

守卫又说：“从跑的姿势看，那跑在前面的人好像撒督的儿子亚希玛斯。”王说：“他是个好人，他一定带来了好消息。”亚希玛斯高声对王说：“一切都好！”他在王面前俯伏叩拜，说：“你的上帝耶和华当受称颂，祂已经消灭了那些攻击我主我王的敌人。”

那从前被鬼附身的人恳求跟耶稣同行，耶稣却对他说：“你回家吧，把上帝为你所行的奇事告诉别人。”他就回去，走遍全城，四处传扬耶稣为他所行的奇事。
