那人就跪下敬拜耶和華，說：“耶和華我主人亞伯拉罕的神是應當稱頌的，因為他不斷以慈愛和信實待我的主人；耶和華也一路引導我，到了我主人的兄弟家裡。”

因為這位神就是我們的神，直到永永遠遠；他必引導我們，直到我們死的時候。

亞伯拉罕的僕人聽到了他們這些話，就俯伏在地敬拜耶和華。

耶和華你的救贖主，以色列的聖者，這樣說：‘我是耶和華你的神，是教導你，使你得益處的，是在你當行的道路上引導你的。

我要教導你，指示你應走的路；我要勸戒你，我的眼睛看顧你。

領他們走正直的路，使他們去到可居住的城巿。

又要把規例和律法教導他們，使他們知道他們當走的路，應作的事。

我指教你走智慧的道，引導你行正直的路。

“那時，我在亞哈瓦河邊那裡宣告禁食，為要在我們的神面前謙卑下來，為自己和我們的孩子，以及我們所有的財物尋求神指示一條暢通的道路。
