Then food was placed in front of him. But he said,“ I won’t eat until I’ve told you what I have to say.”“ Then tell us,” Laban said.

Then food was served. But Abraham’s servant said,“ I don’t want to eat until I have told you why I have come.”“ All right,” Laban said,“ tell us.”

A meal was set before him, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” So Laban said,“ Please speak.”

But when food was set before him to eat, he said,“ I will not eat until I have stated my business.” And he said,“ Speak on.”

When food was served, he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I want to say.”“ Tell us,” Laban said.

Food was set before him to eat, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have told my message.” Laban said,“ Speak on.”

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

“ I will not enter my house or go to my bed,I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves. These are the things you are to teach and insist on.

I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

Meanwhile his disciples urged him,“ Rabbi, eat something.”But he said to them,“ I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”Then his disciples said to each other,“ Could someone have brought him food?”“ My food,” said Jesus,“ is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.
