A meal was set before him, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” So Laban said,“ Please speak.”

然后在他面前摆上食物，但那人说：“除非等我说完了我的事，我不会吃。”拉班说：“请说。”

陳食其前以食之、僕曰、吾事未述、不敢先食、曰、請述之、

肆筵令食。僕曰、我事尚未相告、不敢先食。曰、願聞其詳。○

為之供食、其人曰、尚未述我事、我不敢先食、曰、請述之、

Then food was set before him, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have told you what I have to say.”“ Then tell us,” Laban said.

Then food was placed in front of him. But he said,“ I won’t eat until I’ve told you what I have to say.”“ Then tell us,” Laban said.

Then food was set before him to eat. But he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” He said,“ Speak on.”

Then food was served. But Abraham’s servant said,“ I don’t want to eat until I have told you why I have come.”“ All right,” Laban said,“ tell us.”

But when food was set before him to eat, he said,“ I will not eat until I have stated my business.” And he said,“ Speak on.”

Food was set before him to eat, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have told about my errand.” And he said,“ Speak on.”

And there was set food before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

And there was set[ meat] before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

When food was served, he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I want to say.”“ Tell us,” Laban said.

Food was set before him to eat, but he said,“ I will not eat until I have told my message.” Laban said,“ Speak on.”

Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as you would Christ.Don’t work only while being watched, as people-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart.Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to people,knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord.

“ I will not enter my house or get into my bed,I will not allow my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumberuntil I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Let those who have believing masters not be disrespectful to them because they are brothers, but serve them even better, since those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. Teach and encourage these things.

I have not departed from the commands from his lips; I have treasured the words from his mouth more than my daily food.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

In the meantime the disciples kept urging him,“ Rabbi, eat something.”But he said,“ I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”The disciples said to one another,“ Could someone have brought him something to eat?”“ My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work,” Jesus told them.

But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.”

Do you see a person skilled in his work? He will stand in the presence of kings. He will not stand in the presence of the unknown.
