如果我对哪个少女说‘请放下你的水罐，让我喝点水’，如果她说‘请喝，我也打水给你的骆驼喝’，愿那女子做你为自己的仆人以撒选定的妻子。这样，我可以知道你施恩给我的主人了。”

我对哪一个少女说：‘请你放下水瓶来，让我喝点水。’如果她回答：‘请喝，我也给你的骆驼喝。’愿那少女就作你选定给你仆人以撒的妻子。这样，我就知道你施慈爱给我的主人了。”

我对哪个少女说：‘请放下你的罐子，让我喝点水’；如果那个少女说：‘请喝吧，我也给你的骆驼喝’——愿她就是你为你的仆人以撒指定的那位。这样我就知道你确实向我主人施慈爱了。”

我將謂一女曰、請爾下缾飲我、彼若云請飲、亦飲爾駝、則願其女為爾所定、與爾僕以撒為妻、由此可知爾施恩於我主、

倘其中有一女、我告之、授汲器以飲我、彼云、請飲、亦飲爾駝、則其女為爾所定、與爾僕以撒為室、由此可知、爾施恩於我主。

我將求一女曰、請欹瓶予我飲、彼若云請飲、我亦飲爾駝、則其女為主所定、與主之僕以撒為妻、由此我可知主施恩於我主人、

May it be that when I say to a young woman,‘ Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’— let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

I will speak to a young woman. I’ll say to her,‘ Please lower your jar so I can have a drink.’ Suppose she says,‘ Have a drink of water, and I’ll get some for your camels too.’ Then let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. That’s how I’ll know you have been kind to my master.”

Let the young woman to whom I shall say,‘ Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say,‘ Drink, and I will water your camels’— let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.”

This is my request. I will ask one of them,‘ Please give me a drink from your jug.’ If she says,‘ Yes, have a drink, and I will water your camels, too!’— let her be the one you have selected as Isaac’s wife. This is how I will know that you have shown unfailing love to my master.”

Let the girl to whom I say,‘ Please lower your water jug so that I may drink,’ and who responds,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels also’— let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

and let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast showed kindness unto my master.

Let the girl to whom I say,‘ Please lower your water jug so that I may drink,’ and who responds,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels also’— let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. By this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”

Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say,‘ Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ then she says,‘ Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’— let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said.”

Then he said to Him,“ If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.

And he said,“ Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?”

“ Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.”

The water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.”

and she says to me,“ Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,”— let her be the woman whom the Lord has appointed for my master’s son.’

And Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“ What is the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord the third day?”Then Isaiah said,“ This is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing which He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees or go backward ten degrees?”And Hezekiah answered,“ It is an easy thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees; no, but let the shadow go backward ten degrees.”So Isaiah the prophet cried out to the Lord, and He brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.

Then Jonathan said,“ Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them.If they say thus to us,‘ Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them.But if they say thus,‘ Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the Lord has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.”

If he says thus:‘ It is well,’ your servant will be safe. But if he is very angry, be sure that evil is determined by him.

making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.

And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”

Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.

When you have departed from me today, you will find two men by Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you,‘ The donkeys which you went to look for have been found. And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said,“ I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.”Then his companion answered and said,“ This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! He returned to the camp of Israel, and said,“ Arise, for the Lord has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand.”

So they said to him,“ Please inquire of God, that we may know whether the journey on which we go will be prosperous.”

Now therefore, make a new cart, take two milk cows which have never been yoked, and hitch the cows to the cart; and take their calves home, away from them.Then take the ark of the Lord and set it on the cart; and put the articles of gold which you are returning to Him as a trespass offering in a chest by its side. Then send it away, and let it go.And watch: if it goes up the road to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that struck us— it happened to us by chance.”
