我对哪一个少女说：‘请你放下水瓶来，让我喝点水。’如果她回答：‘请喝，我也给你的骆驼喝。’愿那少女就作你选定给你仆人以撒的妻子。这样，我就知道你施慈爱给我的主人了。”

我对哪个少女说：‘请放下你的罐子，让我喝点水’；如果那个少女说：‘请喝吧，我也给你的骆驼喝’——愿她就是你为你的仆人以撒指定的那位。这样我就知道你确实向我主人施慈爱了。”

我將謂一女曰、請爾下缾飲我、彼若云請飲、亦飲爾駝、則願其女為爾所定、與爾僕以撒為妻、由此可知爾施恩於我主、

倘其中有一女、我告之、授汲器以飲我、彼云、請飲、亦飲爾駝、則其女為爾所定、與爾僕以撒為室、由此可知、爾施恩於我主。

我將求一女曰、請欹瓶予我飲、彼若云請飲、我亦飲爾駝、則其女為主所定、與主之僕以撒為妻、由此我可知主施恩於我主人、

May it be that when I say to a young woman,‘ Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’— let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

I will speak to a young woman. I’ll say to her,‘ Please lower your jar so I can have a drink.’ Suppose she says,‘ Have a drink of water, and I’ll get some for your camels too.’ Then let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. That’s how I’ll know you have been kind to my master.”

Let the young woman to whom I shall say,‘ Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say,‘ Drink, and I will water your camels’— let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.”

This is my request. I will ask one of them,‘ Please give me a drink from your jug.’ If she says,‘ Yes, have a drink, and I will water your camels, too!’— let her be the one you have selected as Isaac’s wife. This is how I will know that you have shown unfailing love to my master.”

Let the girl to whom I say,‘ Please lower your water jug so that I may drink,’ and who responds,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels also’— let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say,‘ Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says,‘ Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’— let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”

and let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast showed kindness unto my master.

Let the girl to whom I say,‘ Please lower your water jug so that I may drink,’ and who responds,‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels also’— let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. By this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”

Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say,‘ Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ then she says,‘ Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’— let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

behold, I am putting a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I will know that You will save Israel through me, as You have spoken.”

So Gideon said to Him,“ If now I have found favor in Your sight, then perform for me a sign that it is You speaking with me.

But he said,“ Lord God, how may I know that I will possess it?”

“ Ask for a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven.”

and she says to me,“ You drink, and I will draw for your camels also”— let her be the woman whom the Lord has appointed for my master’s son.’

Now Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“ What will be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I will go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?”Isaiah said,“ This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will perform the word that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps or go back ten steps?”So Hezekiah said,“ It is easy for the shadow to decline ten steps; no, but have the shadow turn backward ten steps.”Then Isaiah the prophet called out to the Lord, and He brought the shadow on the stairway back ten steps by which it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
