Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

所以耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，就把他們交在美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田的手中。以色列人服事古珊‧利薩田八年。以色列人呼求耶和華的時候，耶和華就為他們興起一位拯救者救他們，就是迦勒兄弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶。耶和華的靈降在他身上，他就作了以色列的士師，出去爭戰。耶和華將美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田交在他手中，他便勝了古珊‧利薩田。

司獄就把監裏所有的囚犯都交在約瑟的手下；他們在那裏所辦的事都是經他的手。凡在約瑟手下的事，司獄一概不察，因為耶和華與約瑟同在；耶和華使他所做的盡都順利。

約瑟不從，對他主人的妻說：「看哪，一切家務，我主人都不知道；他把所有的都交在我手裏。在這家裏沒有比我大的；並且他沒有留下一樣不交給我，只留下了你，因為你是他的妻子。我怎能作這大惡，得罪神呢？」

亞伯拉罕對管理他全業最老的僕人說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下。
