Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

约瑟就得主人的欢心，服事他的主人。他主人指派他管理他的家，把自己所有的一切都交在他手里。自从主人指派约瑟管理他的家，和他所有的一切，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故，赐福给那埃及人的家。他家里和田间所有的一切，都蒙耶和华赐福。波提乏把自己所有的一切，都交在约瑟的手里。除了自己所吃的饭以外，其他的事他一概不管。约瑟生来体格壮健，容貌俊美。

我们帕提亚人、玛代人、以拦人和住在美索不达米亚、犹太、加帕多家、本都、亚西亚、

雅各继续前行，到了东方人的地方。

因此，耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，把他们完全交在两河之间的亚兰王古珊．利萨田的手中；以色列人服事了古珊．利萨田八年。以色列人向耶和华哀求的时候，耶和华就为以色列人兴起一位拯救者拯救他们，就是迦勒的弟弟基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂。耶和华的灵临到他身上，他就治理以色列人；他出去作战，耶和华把亚兰王古珊．利萨田交在他手中，他的能力就胜过了古珊．利萨田。

因此，监狱长把监里所有的囚犯都交在约瑟手里；他们在那里所作的一切事务，都由约瑟负责处理。凡交在约瑟手里的事务，监狱长一概不闻不问；因为耶和华与约瑟同在，使他所作的尽都顺利。

约瑟不肯，对他主人的妻子说：“你看，家中的事我主人一概不管；他把他所有的一切，都交在我的手里。在这家里没有比我大的。除你以外，我主人没有留下一样不交给我，因为你是他的妻子。我怎可以作这极恶的事，得罪神呢？”

亚伯拉罕对他家中最老的，管理他所有产业的那仆人说：“请把你的手放在我的大腿底下。

我儿啊，现在你要听我的话；起来，逃到哈兰我哥哥拉班那里去吧。
