Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

就賞識他，讓他服侍自己，派他管理自己家中一切事務。自從埃及人波提乏派約瑟管理自己家中一切事務以後，耶和華因為約瑟的緣故而賜福他主人家，使他主人家裡和田間的一切都蒙福。於是，波提乏把一切事都交給約瑟管理，除了自己要吃的食物以外，什麼也不管。約瑟體格健壯，相貌英俊。

我們這裡有帕提亞人、瑪代人、以攔人，以及住在美索不達米亞、猶太、加帕多迦、本都、亞細亞、

雅各繼續前行，來到東方人住的地方，

耶和華向他們發怒，把他們交在美索不達米亞王古珊·利薩田的手中，受古珊·利薩田統治八年。他們向耶和華呼求，耶和華就使一位名叫俄陀聶的拯救者興起，他是迦勒弟弟基納斯的兒子。耶和華的靈降在俄陀聶身上，他就做了以色列的士師，領兵出戰。耶和華將美索不達米亞王古珊·利薩田交在他手中，他便戰勝了古珊·利薩田。

監獄長把獄中所有囚犯及一切事務都交給約瑟管理。凡交到約瑟手中的事情，監獄長都很放心，因為耶和華與約瑟同在，使他凡事亨通。

約瑟拒絕了她，說：「我主人信任我，把家裡一切事都交給我管理。在這家裡，沒有人比我權力更大了，我主人把一切都交給了我，唯獨你除外，因為你是他的妻子。我怎能做這種醜事得罪上帝呢？」

亞伯拉罕對他的老總管說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下，

孩子，聽我的話，現在就逃到哈蘭你舅舅拉班那裡，
