耶和華大大地賜福給我主人，使他昌大，又賜給他羊羣、牛羣、金銀、僕婢、駱駝，和驢。

亞伯蘭聽見他姪兒被擄去，就率領他家裏生養的精練壯丁三百一十八人，直追到但，

撒拉心裏暗笑，說：「我既已衰敗，我主也老邁，豈能有這喜事呢？」

他們對他說：「我主啊，不是的。僕人們是糴糧來的。

你就說：『是你僕人雅各的，是送給我主以掃的禮物；他自己也在我們後邊。』」

這不是我主人飲酒的杯嗎？豈不是他占卜用的嗎？你們這樣行是作惡了。』」

亞伯蘭的金、銀、牲畜極多。

吩咐他們說：「你們對我主以掃說：『你的僕人雅各這樣說：我在拉班那裏寄居，直到如今。我有牛、驢、羊羣、僕婢，現在打發人來報告我主，為要在你眼前蒙恩。』」

女子說：「我主請喝！」就急忙拿下瓶來，托在手上給他喝。

拉結對她父親說：「現在我身上不便，不能在你面前起來，求我主不要生氣。」這樣，拉班搜尋神像，竟沒有搜出來。

當那時候，亞比米勒同他軍長非各對亞伯拉罕說：「凡你所行的事都有神的保佑。

路得說：「我主啊，願在你眼前蒙恩。我雖然不及你的一個使女，你還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。」

耶和華如此說：埃及勞碌得來的和古實的貨物必歸你；身量高大的西巴人必投降你，也要屬你。他們必帶着鎖鍊過來隨從你，又向你下拜，祈求你說：神真在你們中間，此外再沒有別神；再沒有別的神。

你看，我們從前在口袋裏所見的銀子，尚且從迦南地帶來還你，我們怎能從你主人家裏偷竊金銀呢？

亞倫說：「求我主不要發烈怒。這百姓專於作惡，是你知道的。
