不敢登高、行於途中亦多畏葸、以杏核為可厭、以蟿蟲為重物、生平嗜好、百無一存、人歸窀穸、哀者行於衢。

必汗流浹面、庶可餬口、逮歸於所出之土而後已。汝身乃土、死則返其本焉。

雅各至慢哩亞巴邑、見父以撒、昔亞巴即希伯崙、亞伯拉罕與以撒曾旅於此。以撒享壽一百八十歲、壽高年邁、氣絕而終、以返其本、其子以掃雅各葬之。

我知爾必致我於死、入億兆當歸之窀穸。

父命之曰、我將返本、當葬我於赫人以弗崙田中之穴、附吾祖父側。昔亞伯拉罕自赫人以弗崙購迦南地慢哩相對麥比拉田之穴、以為塚地。族人於斯土葬亞伯拉罕、及其妻撒拉、亦葬以撒及其妻利百加、我亦葬利亞。其田與穴、購自赫人。

我欲與祖父同墓、必攜我骨出埃及、歸葬於先人之兆。曰、惟命是聽。
