So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, the cave which was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all of its borders, were deeded

於是以弗崙田在麥比拉、在幔利前者、田與田間之穴、及田中四圍之樹、俱定與亞伯拉罕為業、

So Ephron’s field in Machpelah near Mamre— both the field and the cave in it, and all the trees within the borders of the field— was deeded

So Ephron sold his field to Abraham. The field was in Machpelah near Mamre. Abraham bought the field and the cave that was in it. He also bought all the trees that were inside the borders of the field. Everything was sold

So the field of Ephron in Machpelah, which was to the east of Mamre, the field with the cave that was in it and all the trees that were in the field, throughout its whole area, was made over

So Abraham bought the plot of land belonging to Ephron at Machpelah, near Mamre. This included the field itself, the cave that was in it, and all the surrounding trees.

So Ephron’s field at Machpelah near Mamre— the field with its cave and all the trees anywhere within the boundaries of the field— became

So Ephron’s field, which was in Machpelah, which faced Mamre, the field and the cave which was in it, and all the trees which were in the field, that were within all the confines of its border, were deeded over

So the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field and the cave which was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, which were within all the surrounding borders, were deeded

So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the border thereof round about, were made sure

So Ephron’s field at Machpelah near Mamre— the field with its cave and all the trees anywhere within the boundaries of the field— became

And the field of Ephron, which[ was] in Machpelah, which[ was] before Mamre, the field, and the cave which[ was] therein, and all the trees that[ were] in the field, that[ were] in all the borders round about, were made sure

So Abraham secured Ephron’s field in Machpelah, next to Mamre, including the field, the cave that was in it, and all the trees that were in the field and all around its border,

for his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field, as a possession for a burial site, from Ephron the Hittite, near Mamre.

Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is near Mamre,

The field, and the cave that is in it, were deeded to Abraham by the children of Heth as a possession for a burial place.

and they were brought back to Shechem, and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor of Shechem.

It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.

Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man took off his sandal, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the way of formalizing transactions in Israel.So the near kinsman said to Boaz,“ Buy it for yourself,” then he took off his sandal.Boaz said to the elders and to all the people,“ You are witnesses today, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi.Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”

‘ Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying,“ Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.”’”“ So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to Yahweh’s word, and said to me,‘ Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.’“ Then I knew that this was Yahweh’s word.I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.I signed the deed, sealed it, called witnesses, and weighed the money in the balances to him.So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.“ I commanded Baruch before them, saying,Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says:‘ Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.’

He instructed them, and said to them,“ I am to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite as a burial place.There they buried Abraham and Sarah, his wife. There they buried Isaac and Rebekah, his wife, and there I buried Leah:the field and the cave that is therein, which was purchased from the children of Heth.”

“ Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
