So Ephron’s field in Machpelah near Mamre— both the field and the cave in it, and all the trees within the borders of the field— was deeded

So Ephron sold his field to Abraham. The field was in Machpelah near Mamre. Abraham bought the field and the cave that was in it. He also bought all the trees that were inside the borders of the field. Everything was sold

So the field of Ephron in Machpelah, which was to the east of Mamre, the field with the cave that was in it and all the trees that were in the field, throughout its whole area, was made over

So Abraham bought the plot of land belonging to Ephron at Machpelah, near Mamre. This included the field itself, the cave that was in it, and all the surrounding trees.

把雅各運到迦南地，葬在麥比拉田間的洞裡。那地方在幔利的前面，是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買下來作墳地的。

他的兒子以撒和以實瑪利把他埋葬在麥比拉洞裡。這洞是在幔利前面，赫人瑣轄的兒子以弗崙的田間，

這樣，那塊田和田中的洞，就從赫人歸給了亞伯拉罕為產業作墳地。

運到示劍，埋葬在亞伯拉罕用銀子向哈抹子孫買來的墳地裡。

恩待人，借貸給別人，按公正處理自己事務的，這人必享福樂。

從前在以色列，無論買贖或是交易，決定甚麼事，當事人就要脫鞋給對方。這是以色列中作證的方式。那有買贖權的近親對波阿斯說：“你自己買下來吧。”就把鞋脫下來。波阿斯對長老和眾人說：“今天你們都是見證人，所有屬於以利米勒、基連和瑪倫的，我都從拿俄米手中買下來了。我也娶了（“娶了”原文作“買了”）瑪倫的妻子摩押女子路得作妻子，使已死的人的名字留在他的產業上，免得他的名字在本族本鄉中除掉。今天你們都是見證人。”

‘看哪！你叔叔沙龍的兒子哈拿篾必來見你，說：請你買下我在亞拿突的那塊田地，因為你有近親的權利和義務去買那田地。’我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾果然照著耶和華的話，到衛兵的院子裡來見我，對我說：‘請你買下我在便雅憫境內亞拿突的那塊田地，因為你有那產業的繼承權，以及近親的權利和義務；請你把它買下吧。’於是我知道這是耶和華的話。我就向我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾，買下了在亞拿突的那塊田地，稱了一百九十三克銀子給他。“我在契約上簽了名，把契封好了，又請了證人作證，就用天平把銀子稱給他。然後我取了買賣契約，一份是封好的，一份是沒有加封的，上面都有各種細則和條件。當著我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾眼前，當著那些在買賣契約上簽名作證的人眼前，以及當著所有坐在衛兵院子裡的猶大人眼前，我把買賣契約交給了瑪西雅的孫子、尼利亞的兒子巴錄。我當著這些人眼前吩咐巴錄說：‘萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：你要拿這兩份買賣契約，就是那封好的和沒有加封的，放在一個瓦器裡，使它們可以長久保存。

雅各又囑咐他們，對他們說：“我快要歸到我的親族那裡去，你們要把我埋葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裡，與我的祖先在一起。這個洞在迦南地，在幔利前面的麥比拉的田間。那地方原是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買下來作墳地的。他們在那裡埋葬了亞伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉；又在那裡埋葬了以撒和他的妻子利百加；我也在那裡埋葬了利亞。那塊田和田間的洞，是向赫人買來的。”

“現在，我差派你們出去，好像羊進到狼群中間；所以你們要像蛇一樣機警，像鴿子一樣純潔。

你們要把握時機，用智慧與外人來往。

所以，你們行事為人要謹慎，不要像愚昧人，卻要像聰明人。
