Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the presence of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency acceptable to a merchant.

亞伯拉罕聽從了以弗崙；就平了銀子給以弗崙，就是他在赫人聽得到的地方所說的，平商人通用的銀子四百舍客勒。

亞伯拉罕聽了，就照以弗崙在赫提子孫們面前所說的銀價，給他稱了四百謝克爾商用的銀子。

Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weight current among the merchants.

Abraham agreed to Ephron’s offer. He weighed out for Ephron the price he had named. The Hittites there had heard the amount. The price was ten pounds of silver. Abraham measured it by the weights that were used by merchants.

Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and paid the amount he had suggested— 400 pieces of silver, weighed according to the market standard. The Hittite elders witnessed the transaction.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the hearing of the Hethites: four hundred standard shekels of silver.

And Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out the silver for Ephron which he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency of the merchants.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the presence of the Hittites: 400 shekels of silver at the current commercial rate.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current[ money] with the merchant.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and weighed out for him the price that Ephron had quoted in the hearing of the sons of Heth– 400 pieces of silver, according to the standard measurement at the time.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

And I said to them,“ If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!” So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages.

“ So I bought the field which was in Anathoth from Hanamel my uncle’s son, and I weighed out the silver for him, seventeen shekels of silver.

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.

and I weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the utensils, the offering for the house of our God which the king, his counselors, his officials, and all Israel who were present there had contributed.So I weighed into their hands 650 talents of silver, and silver utensils worth a hundred talents, and a hundred gold talents,and twenty gold bowls worth a thousand darics, and two utensils of fine shiny bronze, precious as gold.Then I said to them,“ You are holy to the Lord, and the utensils are holy; and the silver and the gold are a voluntary offering to the Lord God of your fathers.Watch and keep them until you weigh them before the leading priests, the Levites, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of Israel in Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.”So the priests and the Levites accepted the weight of silver and gold and the utensils, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

“ In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs; twenty shekels, twenty five shekels, and fifteen shekels shall be your mina.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it, Nor can silver be weighed as its price.

This is what everyone who is counted shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary( the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to the Lord.

and it happened when we came to the campsite, that we opened our sacks, and behold, each man’s money was in the opening of his sack, our money in full. So we have brought it back in our hand.

“ My lord, listen to me: a plot of land worth four hundred shekels of silver— what is that between me and you? So bury your dead.”

and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.
