亞勞拿觀看，見王和他臣僕前來，就迎接出去，臉伏於地，向王下拜，說：「我主我王為何來到僕人這裏呢？」大衛說：「我要買你這禾場，為耶和華築一座壇，使民間的瘟疫止住。」亞勞拿對大衛說：「我主我王，你喜悅用甚麼，就拿去獻祭。看哪，這裏有牛可以作燔祭，有打糧的器具和套牛的軛可以當柴燒。王啊，這一切，我亞勞拿都奉給你」；又對王說：「願耶和華－你的神悅納你。」王對亞勞拿說：「不然。我必要按着價值向你買；我不肯用白得之物作燔祭獻給耶和華－我的神。」大衛就用五十舍客勒銀子買了那禾場與牛。

『你叔叔沙龍的兒子哈拿篾必來見你，說：我在亞拿突的那塊地，求你買來；因你買這地是合乎贖回之理。』」我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾果然照耶和華的話來到護衛兵的院內，對我說：「我在便雅憫境內、亞拿突的那塊地，求你買來；因你買來是合乎承受之理，是你當贖的。你為自己買來吧！」我－耶利米就知道這是耶和華的話。我便向我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾買了亞拿突的那塊地，平了十七舍客勒銀子給他。我在契上畫押，將契封緘，又請見證人來，並用天平將銀子平給他。我便將照例按規所立的買契，就是封緘的那一張和敞着的那一張，當着我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾和畫押作見證的人，並坐在護衛兵院內的一切猶大人眼前，交給瑪西雅的孫子尼利亞的兒子巴錄。

波阿斯到了城門，坐在那裏，恰巧波阿斯所說的那至近的親屬經過。波阿斯說：「某人哪，你來坐在這裏。」他就來坐下。

「人無論犯甚麼罪，作甚麼惡，不可憑一個人的口作見證，總要憑兩三個人的口作見證才可定案。

我想當贖那塊地的是你，其次是我，以外再沒有別人了。你可以在這裏的人面前和我本國的長老面前說明，你若肯贖就贖，若不肯贖就告訴我。」那人回答說：「我肯贖。」

在城門坐着的眾民和長老都說：「我們作見證。願耶和華使進你家的這女子，像建立以色列家的拉結、利亞二人一樣。又願你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恆得名聲。

大衛對阿珥楠說：「你將這禾場與相連之地賣給我，我必給你足價，我好在其上為耶和華築一座壇，使民間的瘟疫止住。」阿珥楠對大衛說：「你可以用這禾場，願我主我王照你所喜悅的去行。我也將牛給你作燔祭，把打糧的器具當柴燒，拿麥子作素祭。這些我都送給你。」大衛王對阿珥楠說：「不然！我必要用足價向你買。我不用你的物獻給耶和華，也不用白得之物獻為燔祭。」

波阿斯對長老和眾民說：「你們今日作見證，凡屬以利米勒和基連、瑪倫的，我都從拿俄米手中置買了；

「無論誰故殺人，要憑幾個見證人的口把那故殺人的殺了，只是不可憑一個見證的口叫人死。

就對旁邊站着的人說：『奪過他這一錠來，給那有十錠的。』

高明人卻謀高明事，在高明事上也必永存。

「我主請聽。你在我們中間是一位尊大的王子，只管在我們最好的墳地裏埋葬你的死人；我們沒有一人不容你在他的墳地裏埋葬你的死人。」

要憑兩三個人的口作見證將那當死的人治死；不可憑一個人的口作見證將他治死。

都定準歸與亞伯拉罕，乃是他在赫人面前並城門出入的人面前買妥的。
