Now Ephron was sitting among the Hittites, and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the Hittites, of all who went in at the gate of his city,

當時以弗崙正坐在赫提的子孫們中間。赫提人以弗崙就回應亞伯拉罕，當著所有來到城門口的赫提子孫的面，說：

以弗崙、赫族也、時、坐於赫人中、於入邑門之赫人前、謂亞伯拉罕曰、

以弗崙赫人也、於邑民及入是邑者前、對亞伯拉罕曰、

時、以弗崙坐於赫族人中、赫族人以弗崙遂於入邑門之赫族人前、謂亞伯拉罕曰、

Ephron the Hittite was sitting among his people and he replied to Abraham in the hearing of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city.

Ephron the Hittite was sitting there among his people. He replied to Abraham. All of the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city heard him.

Ephron was sitting there among the others, and he answered Abraham as the others listened, speaking publicly before all the Hittite elders of the town.

Ephron was sitting among the Hethites. So in the hearing of all the Hethites who came to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hethite answered Abraham:

Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham so that the sons of Heth heard, that is, all who entered the gate of his city, saying,

Now Ephron dwelt among the sons of Heth; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the presence of the sons of Heth, all who entered at the gate of his city, saying,

Now Ephron was sitting in the midst of the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

Ephron was sitting among the Hittites. So in the presence of all the Hittites who came to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham:

And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth,[ even] of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

( Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth.) Ephron the Hethite replied to Abraham in the hearing of the sons of Heth– before all who entered the gate of his city–

Now Ephron was sitting in the middle of the children of Heth. Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the children of Heth, even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,

And all who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.

So Hamor and his son Shechem came to the gate of their city and spoke to the men of their city, saying,

to Abraham as a possession in the presence of the Hittites, before all who went in at the gate of his city.

And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city.

Now Boaz had gone up to the gate and sat down there. And behold, the redeemer, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by. So Boaz said,“ Turn aside, friend; sit down here.” And he turned aside and sat down.And he took ten men of the elders of the city and said,“ Sit down here.” So they sat down.Then he said to the redeemer,“ Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that belonged to our relative Elimelech.So I thought I would tell you of it and say,‘ Buy it in the presence of those sitting here and in the presence of the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it. But if you will not, tell me, that I may know, for there is no one besides you to redeem it, and I come after you.” And he said,“ I will redeem it.”

and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

When I went out to the gate of the city, when I prepared my seat in the square,
