Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.

自己心裏也已斷定必死。這是要使我們不倚靠自己，乃倚靠那叫死人活起來的上帝。他已經援救我們脫離這麼大的死亡，將來還要援救；我們一向所寄望的他、將來還要援救。

那臨到了你們的試煉、無非是人類所受得了的。上帝是可信可靠，他必不讓你們受試煉、過於你們所能受的；他乃是要連同試煉、開造出路來，使你們能擔受得起。

宰祭和供物、你不喜愛；你只為我挖通了耳朵好聽從；燔祭和解罪祭你也不要。那時我說：『看哪，我來了——經卷上已為我規定了——我的上帝啊，我樂意行你的旨意；你的律法都在我臟腑裏呢。』

亞伯拉罕說：『孩子，上帝自己會顧到燔祭小羊的。』二人仍這樣一齊走着走着。

你偏於右、或偏於左、的時候，你總要親耳聽見，從後邊有話在說：『這就是路：你要行它！』

乃是用寶貴的血、無瑕疵無玷污的羊羔、基督的血。基督是世界創立以前被豫知、而在諸時期的末後為你們

當時你在異象中對你堅貞之民說：『我已經給一個英雄加了冕；我舉起了一位從民間所揀選的。我尋得了我的僕人大衛，用我的聖膏膏了他；

把舊酵除淨吧，好成為新和的團，正像你們是無酵的一樣。因為我們逾越節的羔羊已經宰獻為祭了，就是基督。所以我們守這節、不可用舊酵，也不可用惡毒邪惡之酵，卻要用純潔真誠之無酵餅。
