After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” Abraham replied.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith.“ Abraham!” God called.“ Yes,” he replied.“ Here I am.”

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold,[ here] I[ am].

Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.

By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son,

You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.Let no man say when he is tempted,“ I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed.

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said,“ My father?” He said,“ Here I am, my son.” He said,“ Here is the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;

The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold, but Yahweh tests the hearts.

Yahweh’s angel called to him out of the sky, and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”

I heard the Lord’s voice, saying,“ Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said,“ Here I am. Send me!”

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams; for Yahweh your God is testing you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

Then he cried to Yahweh. Yahweh showed him a tree, and he threw it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there he tested them.He said,“ If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.”

that by them I may test Israel, to see if they will keep Yahweh’s way to walk therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.”

When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said,“ Moses! Moses!” He said,“ Here I am.”

Again Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he moved David against them, saying,“ Go, count Israel and Judah.”

Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
