Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” Abraham replied.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith.“ Abraham!” God called.“ Yes,” he replied.“ Here I am.”

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold,[ here] I[ am].

Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.

After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.Let no one say when he is tempted,“ I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said,“ My father!” And he said,“ Here I am, my son.” Then he said,“ Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end—

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.

But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” So he said,“ Here I am.”

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:“ Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said,“ Here am I! Send me.”

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,and said,“ If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

so that through them I may test Israel, whether they will keep the ways of the Lord, to walk in them as their fathers kept them, or not.”

So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said,“ Moses, Moses!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Again the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say,“ Go, number Israel and Judah.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.
