Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold,[ here] I[ am].

Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He received the promises and he was offering his unique son,

Remember that the Lord your God led you on the entire journey these 40 years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commands.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.

Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.No one undergoing a trial should say,“ I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone.But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires.

so that the genuineness of your faith— more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Then Isaac spoke to his father Abraham and said,“ My father.” And he replied,“ Here I am, my son.” Isaac said,“ The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

He fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers had not known, in order to humble and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.

A crucible for silver, and a smelter for gold, and the Lord is the tester of hearts.

But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” He replied,“ Here I am.”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Who should I send? Who will go for Us? I said: Here I am. Send me.

do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he threw it into the water, the water became drinkable. He made a statute and ordinance for them at Marah and He tested them there.He said,“ If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in His eyes, pay attention to His commands, and keep all His statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am Yahweh who heals you.”

I did this to test Israel and to see whether they would keep the Lord’s way by walking in it, as their fathers had.”

When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from the bush,“ Moses, Moses!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

The Lord’s anger burned against Israel again, and He stirred up David against them to say:“ Go, count the people of Israel and Judah.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow My instructions.
