After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” Abraham replied.

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith.“ Abraham!” God called.“ Yes,” he replied.“ Here I am.”

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold,[ here] I[ am].

Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.

After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son,

And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.Let no one say when he is tempted,“ I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

so that the tested genuineness of your faith— more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire— may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

And Isaac said to his father Abraham,“ My father!” And he said,“ Here I am, my son.” He said,“ Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end.

The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.

But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying,“ Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said,“ Here I am! Send me.”

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

And so in the matter of the envoys of the princes of Babylon, who had been sent to him to inquire about the sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him and to know all that was in his heart.

And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,saying,“ If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”

in order to test Israel by them, whether they will take care to walk in the way of the Lord as their fathers did, or not.”

When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush,“ Moses, Moses!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying,“ Go, number Israel and Judah.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
