Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

撒拉说：“神使我欢笑，所有听见的人也必与我一同欢笑。”

撒拉說：「神使我喜笑，凡聽見的必與我一同喜笑」；

撒拉說：「上帝使我歡笑，凡聽見的人必與我一同歡笑」，

撒拉說：「神使我歡笑，凡聽見的人必與我一同歡笑」，

撒拉說：「上帝使我歡笑，凡聽見這事的人也必跟我一同歡笑。

撒拉說：“神使我歡笑，凡聽見的，也必為我歡笑。”

撒拉說：『上帝使我喜笑；凡聽見的也必為了我而喜笑。』

撒拉說：「神使我歡笑，所有聽見的人也必與我一同歡笑。」

撒拉曰、上帝使我笑、凡聞之者、將與我同笑、

撒拉曰、上帝使我粲然而笑、聞者將與我粲然而笑。

撒拉曰、天主使我喜笑、凡聞之者必偕我喜笑、

Sarah said,“ God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has given laughter to me. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.”

And Sarah declared,“ God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh; every one that heareth will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh,[ so that] all that hear will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

“ Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth; break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations,“ Yahweh has done great things for them.”

Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart,“ Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”

He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother of children. Praise Yah!

A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

You will have joy and gladness; and many will rejoice at his birth.

Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children and am alone, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought these up? Behold, I was left alone. Where were these?’”

She said,“ Oh, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to Yahweh.I prayed for this child, and Yahweh has given me my petition which I asked of him.Therefore I have also given him to Yahweh. As long as he lives he is given to Yahweh.” He worshiped Yahweh there.Hannah prayed, and said:“ My heart exults in Yahweh! My horn is exalted in Yahweh. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.There is no one as holy as Yahweh, for there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.“ Don’t keep talking so exceedingly proudly. Don’t let arrogance come out of your mouth, for Yahweh is a God of knowledge. By him actions are weighed.“ The bows of the mighty men are broken. Those who stumbled are armed with strength.Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.“ Yahweh kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up.Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; for no man will prevail by strength.Those who strive with Yahweh shall be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in the sky.“ Yahweh will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

Sarah laughed within herself, saying,“ After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”Yahweh said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh, saying,‘ Will I really bear a child when I am old?’Is anything too hard for Yahweh? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son.”Then Sarah denied it, saying,“ I didn’t laugh,” for she was afraid. He said,“ No, but you did laugh.”

Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.

Mary said,“ My soul magnifies the Lord.My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior,for he has looked at the humble state of his servant. For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed.For he who is mighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name.His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.He has shown strength with his arm. He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.He has put down princes from their thrones. And has exalted the lowly.He has filled the hungry with good things. He has sent the rich away empty.He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.”

Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.

By faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.

For it is written,“ Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break out and shout, you who don’t travail. For the desolate have more children than her who has a husband.”Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

“ Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!
