Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

撒拉說：「上帝使我歡笑，凡聽見這事的人也必跟我一同歡笑。

撒拉說：“神使我歡笑，凡聽見的，也必為我歡笑。”

撒拉說：『上帝使我喜笑；凡聽見的也必為了我而喜笑。』

撒拉說：「神使我歡笑，所有聽見的人也必與我一同歡笑。」

撒拉曰、上帝使我笑、凡聞之者、將與我同笑、

撒拉曰、上帝使我粲然而笑、聞者將與我粲然而笑。

撒拉曰、天主使我喜笑、凡聞之者必偕我喜笑、

Sarah said,“ God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has given laughter to me. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.”

And Sarah declared,“ God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh; every one that heareth will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh,[ so that] all that hear will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

“ Shout for joy, infertile one, you who have not given birth to any child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations,“ The Lord has done great things for them.”

Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart,“ Will a child be born to a man a hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth to a child?”

He has the infertile woman live in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!

Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one is going to take your joy away from you.

You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth.

Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has fathered these for me, Since I have been bereaved of my children And cannot conceive, and I am an exile, and a wanderer? And who has raised these? Behold, I was left alone; Where are these from?’ ”

And she said,“ Pardon me, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the Lord.For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my request which I asked of Him.So I have also dedicated him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.Then Hannah prayed and said,“ My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord, My mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.There is no one holy like the Lord, Indeed, there is no one besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.Do not go on boasting so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And with Him actions are weighed.The bows of the mighty are broken to pieces, But those who have stumbled strap on strength.Those who were full hire themselves out for bread, But those who were hungry cease to be hungry. Even the infertile woman gives birth to seven, But she who has many children languishes.The Lord puts to death and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and brings up.The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts.He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.He watches over the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a person prevail.Those who contend with the Lord will be terrified; Against them He will thunder in the heavens, The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed.”

So Sarah laughed to herself, saying,“ After I have become old, am I to have pleasure, my lord being old also?”But the Lord said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh, saying,‘ Shall I actually give birth to a child, when I am so old?’Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”Sarah denied it, however, saying,“ I did not laugh”; for she was afraid. And He said,“ No, but you did laugh.”

Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had displayed His great mercy toward her; and they were rejoicing with her.

And Mary said:“ My soul exalts the Lord,And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.For He has had regard for the humble state of His bond servant; For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed.For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His name.And His mercy is to generation after generation Toward those who fear Him.He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their hearts.He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.He has filled the hungry with good things, And sent the rich away empty handed.He has given help to His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy,Just as He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his descendants forever.”

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.

For it is written:“ Rejoice, infertile one, you who do not give birth; Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor; For the children of the desolate one are more numerous Than those of the one who has a husband.”And you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.

“ Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
