And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh; every one that heareth will laugh with me.

撒拉曰、天主使我喜笑、凡聞之者必偕我喜笑、

Sarah said,“ God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has given laughter to me. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.”

And Sarah declared,“ God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me.

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

Sarah said,“ God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.”

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh,[ so that] all that hear will laugh with me.

Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the nations, Jehovah hath done great things for them.

Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye Jehovah.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

Then shalt thou say in thy heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?

And she said, Oh, my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto Jehovah.For this child I prayed; and Jehovah hath given me my petition which I asked of him:therefore also I have granted him to Jehovah; as long as he liveth he is granted to Jehovah. And he worshipped Jehovah there.And Hannah prayed, and said: My heart exulteth in Jehovah; My horn is exalted in Jehovah; My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; Because I rejoice in thy salvation.There is none holy as Jehovah; For there is none besides thee, Neither is there any rock like our God.Talk no more so exceeding proudly; Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth; For Jehovah is a God of knowledge, And by him actions are weighed.The bows of the mighty men are broken; And they that stumbled are girded with strength.They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; And they that were hungry have ceased to hunger: Yea, the barren hath borne seven; And she that hath many children languisheth.Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive: He bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up.Jehovah maketh poor, and maketh rich: He bringeth low, he also lifteth up.He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, And inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah’s, And he hath set the world upon them.He will keep the feet of his holy ones; But the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.They that strive with Jehovah shall be broken to pieces; Against them will he thunder in heaven: Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth; And he will give strength unto his king, And exalt the horn of his anointed.

And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?And Jehovah said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, who am old?Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return unto thee, when the season cometh round, and Sarah shall have a son.Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her; and they rejoiced with her.

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.For he hath looked upon the low estate of his handmaid: For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; And holy is his name.And his mercy is unto generations and generations On them that fear him.He hath showed strength with his arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart.He hath put down princes from their thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree.The hungry he hath filled with good things; And the rich he hath sent empty away.He hath given help to Israel his servant, That he might remember mercy( As he spake unto our fathers) Toward Abraham and his seed for ever.

Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.

By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive seed when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised:

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.
