永恆主的使者又對她說：『看哪，你如今懷了孕，必生個兒子；你要給他起名叫以實瑪利，因為你受的苦難永恆主聽見了。

永恆主說：『我的人民在埃及的困苦我實在看見了；他們在督工之下所發的哀叫聲、我也聽見了；他們的苦痛、我是知道的。

在患難的日子你要呼求我，我便救拔你；你就榮耀我。』

約哈斯求永恆主的情面，永恆主就聽他，因為見以色列人所受的壓迫，見亞蘭王怎樣地壓迫他們。

這些事以後、永恆主的話在異象中傳與亞伯蘭，說：『亞伯蘭，你不要怕！我是你的盾牌；你的報賞極大呀。』

聽禱告的主啊，血肉之人、為了罪孽的緣故、都要來找你。我們的過犯強大、勝了我們，但是你都赦除它。

因為這是他惟一的遮蓋物，是他的衣裳，做他皮膚之遮蓋物的；若是沒有，他拿甚麼睡覺呢？將來他向我哀叫，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

因為是我、永恆主你的上帝、在攙扶着你的右手，是我對你說：『不要懼怕，我必幫助你』。不要懼怕哦！蟲子雅各啊！蛆蟲以色列啊！是我要幫助你，永恆主發神諭說；贖回你者、是以色列的聖者。

但是永恆主卻因他和亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、所立之約的緣故，仍然恩待以色列人，憐恤他們，垂顧他們、不情願使他們滅絕，所以直到現在還沒有丟掉他們離開自己面前。

如果真地苦待他們，他們一向我哀叫，我總要聽他們的哀叫；

但現在呢、雅各啊，那創造你的永恆主、以色列啊，那形成你的主、這麼說：『你不要懼怕，因為我贖回了你；我呼喚你的名召了你；你是我的。你從水中經過，我必與你同在；你逿過江河，水不漫過你；你從火中行過，必不被燙傷，火燄也不着在你身上。

你不要懼怕，因為是我與你同在；不要彷徨張望，因為是我做你的上帝；我必堅固你，我一定幫助你；一定用我義氣的右手扶持你。

關於異象平谷的神託之言。你怎麼啦？你都上了房頂啦？

永恆主的使者對夏甲說：『你回到你主母那裏，屈服在她手下。』

他們呼叫但人；但人轉臉問米迦說：『你召了這許多人來作甚麼？』

耶穌從旁邊聽見所說的話，就對會堂管事說：『別怕了，只要信。』

有人漂流於曠野、於荒地，找不着路到可住的城；又饑又渴，精神都發昏。於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主援救他們脫離他們的窘迫；

掃羅正從田間趕牛回來，就問說：『人民為了甚麼而哭呢？』有人將雅比人的話向他敘說。
