Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

凡是你手當做的，你都當極力去做；因為在你必去的陰間沒有工作，沒有籌劃，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

以色列帶著一切屬於他的出發了。他來到比爾-謝巴，向他父親以撒的神獻上祭物。

清早起來大聲祝福鄰人，就被算為對他的詛咒。

有人遇見他，看哪，他正在田野中徘徊。那人就問他：「你在找什麼？」

至於亞伯拉罕眾妾的兒子，亞伯拉罕也給了他們禮物，在自己還活著的時候，就打發他們離開他的兒子以撒往東，到東方之地去。

他們清早起來，彼此起誓；然後以撒送他們走，他們就平平安安地離開他去了。

後來以掃帶著他的妻子兒女和家中所有的人，以及他的牲畜和各樣動物，還有他在迦南地所積蓄的一切財產，離開他的弟弟雅各到別的地方去了。因為兩人擁有的很多，不能住在一起；他們的牲畜眾多，寄居之地容不下他們。

一些人在曠野和荒漠中漂流，找不到路通往可安居的城。

他就稱呼那口井為謝巴；因此那城名叫比爾-謝巴，直到今日。

那出於女僕的是由肉體生的，那出於自由女人的是藉著應許生的。這些都是有寓意的。就是說，這兩個女人是兩個約。一個出於西奈山，生子為奴，她就是夏甲。這夏甲是指著阿拉伯的西奈山，相當於現在的耶路撒冷，因為耶路撒冷和她的兒女都是為奴的。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，給自己的驢子備好鞍，帶上他的兩個僕人和他的兒子以撒。他劈好了燔祭用的木柴，就起身往神指示他的地方去。

因為希實本的田園、西比瑪的葡萄樹衰殘了，列國的君主擊打了它上好的葡萄枝子——它的枝子曾伸到雅謝，漫展到曠野，它的藤條曾蔓延越過了海。

因此那地方被稱為比爾-謝巴，因為他們兩人在那裡起了誓。

亞伯拉罕在比爾-謝巴栽種了一棵檉柳樹，在那裡呼求耶和華永恆之神的名。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，到了他曾在耶和華面前站立的地方。

奴隸不會永遠住在家裡，兒子卻會永遠住在家裡。

我快快遵守你的誡命，不會猶豫。

耶和華的使者在曠野的水泉旁，就是書珥路上的水泉旁，找到了夏甲，

然後亞伯拉罕回到他的僕人們那裡，他們就起身一同往比爾-謝巴去。亞伯拉罕住在比爾-謝巴。

然後，那僕人和那些與他一起的人才吃喝，並過了夜。他們清早起來，那僕人就說：「請打發我回我主人那裡吧！」
