Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

凡是你手当做的，你都当极力去做；因为在你必去的阴间没有工作，没有筹划，没有知识，也没有智慧。

以色列带着一切属于他的出发了。他来到比尔-谢巴，向他父亲以撒的神献上祭物。

清早起来大声祝福邻人，就被算为对他的诅咒。

有人遇见他，看哪，他正在田野中徘徊。那人就问他：“你在找什么？”

至于亚伯拉罕众妾的儿子，亚伯拉罕也给了他们礼物，在自己还活着的时候，就打发他们离开他的儿子以撒往东，到东方之地去。

他们清早起来，彼此起誓；然后以撒送他们走，他们就平平安安地离开他去了。

后来以扫带着他的妻子儿女和家中所有的人，以及他的牲畜和各样动物，还有他在迦南地所积蓄的一切财产，离开他的弟弟雅各到别的地方去了。因为两人拥有的很多，不能住在一起；他们的牲畜众多，寄居之地容不下他们。

一些人在旷野和荒漠中漂流，找不到路通往可安居的城。

他就称呼那口井为谢巴；因此那城名叫比尔-谢巴，直到今日。

那出于女仆的是由肉体生的，那出于自由女人的是藉着应许生的。这些都是有寓意的。就是说，这两个女人是两个约。一个出于西奈山，生子为奴，她就是夏甲。这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，相当于现在的耶路撒冷，因为耶路撒冷和她的儿女都是为奴的。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，给自己的驴子备好鞍，带上他的两个仆人和他的儿子以撒。他劈好了燔祭用的木柴，就起身往神指示他的地方去。

因为希实本的田园、西比玛的葡萄树衰残了，列国的君主击打了它上好的葡萄枝子——它的枝子曾伸到雅谢，漫展到旷野，它的藤条曾蔓延越过了海。

因此那地方被称为比尔-谢巴，因为他们两人在那里起了誓。

亚伯拉罕在比尔-谢巴栽种了一棵柽柳树，在那里呼求耶和华永恒之神的名。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，到了他曾在耶和华面前站立的地方。

奴隶不会永远住在家里，儿子却会永远住在家里。

我快快遵守你的诫命，不会犹豫。

耶和华的使者在旷野的水泉旁，就是书珥路上的水泉旁，找到了夏甲，

然后亚伯拉罕回到他的仆人们那里，他们就起身一同往比尔-谢巴去。亚伯拉罕住在比尔-谢巴。

然后，那仆人和那些与他一起的人才吃喝，并过了夜。他们清早起来，那仆人就说：“请打发我回我主人那里吧！”
