撒母耳说：“你们招聚全体以色列人到米斯巴，我要为你们向耶和华祷告。”

如果有人想要伤害他们，火就从他们的口中出来，吞灭他们的敌人；如果有人想要伤害他们，就必定这样被杀。这两个人有权柄闭塞天空，使雨水在他们做先知传道的日子不降下来；又有权柄统管众水，使水变成血，并且能随时随意用各样灾害击打大地。

婚姻当受所有人尊重，床也不可玷污，因为神将要审判淫乱和通奸的人。

耶和华因亚伯兰妻子撒莱的缘故，用严重的疾患击打法老和他的家。

你们中间谁患病，就应该请教会的长老们来，让他们奉主的名用油来膏抹他、为他祷告。出于信的祈求，将会救那病人；主将使他起来；即使他犯了罪，也将被赦免。所以你们当彼此认罪，彼此代求，好使你们得痊愈。义人所做的祈祷是大有力量的。

过去，神在不同的时代，用不同的方式，藉着先知们对祖先说话，

那说殊言的是造就自己，但那做先知传道的是造就教会。

全体民众对撒母耳说：“求你为仆人们向耶和华你的神祷告，免得我们死亡。因为在我们的一切罪恶上，我们又增添了一件恶事，为自己要求一个王。”

耶和华与敬畏他的人亲密，使他们明白他的约。

原来耶和华因亚伯拉罕妻子撒拉的缘故，使亚比米勒家中所有的妇女都不能生育。

如果有人看见自己的弟兄在犯不至于死的罪，就应该为他祈求；这样，神将把生命赐给他，就是给那些犯不至于死的罪的人。有一种罪是至于死的；关于那种罪我不说要祈求。

就是他与亚伯拉罕所立的约，向以撒所起的誓；又把这约给雅各立为律例，给以色列立为永远的约；他说：“我要把迦南地赐给你，作为你们继业的份。”那时他们人数稀少，实在很少，在那地是寄居的；他们从一个国家流浪到另一个国家，从一个邦族流浪到另一个邦族。他不容任何人欺压他们，还为他们的缘故责备君王：“你们不可碰我的受膏者，不可恶待我的先知。”

只是分辨善恶树上的果实，你不可吃，因为在吃的日子，你必定死。”

法老的群臣看见了，就在法老面前称赞她；那女人就被带进法老的宫殿。

“至于我，我绝不会停止为你们祷告而得罪耶和华，我必指教你们那美善、正直的道路。

以色列子民对撒母耳说：“请不要停止为我们向耶和华我们的神呼求，好使他拯救我们脱离非利士人的手。”
