Now Abimelech had not gone near her. He said,“ Lord, would you really slaughter an innocent nation?

亞比米勒未近婦身、曰、主歟、為義之民、亦滅之乎、

亞庇米力未玷婦身、故曰、為義之民、主豈滅之乎。

亞比米勒未近婦、故曰、無辜之民、主欲滅之乎、

Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he said,“ Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?

But Abimelek hadn’t gone near her. So he said,“ Lord, will you destroy a nation that hasn’t done anything wrong?

Now Abimelech had not approached her. So he said,“ Lord, will you kill an innocent people?

But Abimelech had not slept with her yet, so he said,“ Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?

Now Abimelech had not approached her, so he said,“ Lord, would you destroy a nation even though it is innocent?

Now Abimelech had not come near her; and he said,“ Lord, will You kill a nation, even though blameless?

But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said,“ Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also?

Now Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay even a righteous nation?

Now Abimelech had not approached her, so he said,“ Lord, would You destroy a nation even though it is innocent?

Now Abimelech had not come near her. He said,“ Lord, will you kill even a righteous nation?

David said to God,“ Was I not the one who decided to number the army? I am the one who sinned and committed this awful deed! As for these sheep– what have they done? O LORD my God, attack me and my family, but remove the plague from your people!”

Abraham approached and said,“ Will you sweep away the godly along with the wicked?What if there are fifty godly people in the city? Will you really wipe it out and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty godly people who are in it?Far be it from you to do such a thing– to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, as well as his wife and female slaves so that they were able to have children.For the LORD had caused infertility to strike every woman in the household of Abimelech because he took Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

Surely when wicked men have killed an innocent man as he slept in his own house, should I not now require his blood from your hands and remove you from the earth?”

Then in the dream God replied to him,“ Yes, I know that you have done this with a clear conscience. That is why I have kept you from sinning against me and why I did not allow you to touch her.

Then the LORD rained down sulfur and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. It was sent down from the sky by the LORD.
