所以，你們要彼此認罪，互相代求，使你們得醫治。義人祈禱所發的力量是大有功效的。

應當一無掛慮，只要凡事藉着禱告、祈求和感謝，將你們所要的告訴上帝。

耶和華遠離惡人，卻聽義人的祈禱。

你們禱告，無論求甚麼，只要信，就必得着。」

好叫他們獻馨香的祭給天上的上帝，又為王和王眾子的壽命祈禱。

耶和華見利亞失寵，就使她生育，拉結卻不生育。

現在你當把這人的妻子歸還給他；因為他是先知，他要為你禱告，使你存活。你若不歸還，你當知道，你和你所有的人都必定死。」

弟兄們，請也為我們禱告。

於是他們派人去請非利士的眾領袖來，說：「請你們把以色列上帝的約櫃送回原處，免得害死我和我的百姓！」原來上帝的手重重攻擊那城，死亡的恐懼瀰漫全城，沒有死的人都受痔瘡的折磨。城裏的哀聲上達於天。

於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法遵照耶和華所吩咐的去做，耶和華就悅納約伯。約伯為他的朋友祈禱。耶和華就使約伯從苦境中轉回，並且耶和華賜給他的比他從前所有的加倍。

耶和華－以色列的聖者，就是造以色列的如此說：「難道我孩子的未來，你們能質問我，我手的工作，你們可以吩咐我嗎？

「你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就找到；叩門，就給你們開門。

惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡；正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。

從撒母耳以來和後繼的眾先知，凡說預言的，也都曾宣告這些日子。
