所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，使你們得醫治，義人竭力的祈求是大有功效的。

應當一無掛慮，只要凡事藉着禱告和祈求、用感謝心將你們所求的稟知在上帝面前，

永恆主跟惡人、離開很遠；義人的禱告他卻要聽。

凡你們禱告、無論求甚麼，只要相信，就必得着。』

好叫他們供獻悅神之祭給天上的上帝，又為王和王眾子的性命而切求。

永恆主見利亞少得寵愛，就開她的子宮使她受孕；而拉結卻不能生育。

如今你要把這人的妻子還給他，因為他是個神人，他會為你禱告，使你活着。如果你不還給他，你可要知道、你必定死，你和你所有的一切人都必定死。』

弟兄們，為我們禱告哦。

於是打發人去把非利士人的眾霸主聚集了來，說：『把以色列上帝的櫃送走吧，使它回原處去，免得害死了我們和我們的眾民』；這是因為上帝的手加在那裏極重了，致人於死的驚慌紛亂佈滿了全城。未曾死的人都被鼠疫疱擊打；那城呼救聲上達於天。

於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法就去，照永恆主所吩咐他們的去行；永恆主就看了約伯的情面。約伯為他的朋友祈禱、永恆主就恢復約伯的故業；永恆主並且將約伯從前一切所有的都加倍賜給他。

以色列之聖者，那塑造以色列的、永恆主這麼說：『關於我眾子的事、你們要詰問我麼？關於我手所作的、你們要統管我麼？

『求，就給你們；尋找，就找着；敲門，就給你們開。

惡人的祭物、永恆主所厭惡；正直人的祈禱、上帝所喜悅。

從撒母耳以及後繼的眾神言人以來、凡講話的、也都宣佈這些日子。
