所以你們應當彼此認罪，互相代求，這樣你們就可以痊愈。義人祈禱所發出的力量，是大有功效的。

應當毫無憂慮，只要凡事藉著禱告祈求，帶著感恩的心，把你們所要的告訴神。

耶和華遠離惡人，卻垂聽義人的禱告。

你們禱告，無論求甚麼，只要相信，都必得著。”

好讓他們可以獻馨香的祭給天上的神，為王和王的子孫祈求長壽。

耶和華見利亞失寵，就使她生育，拉結卻不生育。

現在你要把那人的妻子還給他，因為他是先知，他要為你禱告，你才可以存活。你若不還給他，你當知道，你和所有屬你的，都死定了。”

弟兄們，請為我們禱告。

於是他們派人去召集非利士人各城的首領前來，對他們說：“請把以色列神的約櫃送回原處，免得它殺害我們和我們的人民。”死亡的恐慌籠罩全城，因為神的手重重地壓在那裡。沒有死的人都遭受痔瘡的打擊；那城的哀聲，上達於天。

於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法，照著耶和華吩咐他們的去行，耶和華就悅納約伯的禱告。約伯替他的朋友禱告，耶和華就恢復約伯原來的景況，還照約伯以前所有的一切加倍賜給他。

以色列的聖者，造以色列的主耶和華這樣說：“你們可以問我將要來的事，關於我的眾子和我手所作的，你們也可以吩咐我回答。

“你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。

惡人的祭物是耶和華厭惡的；正直人的禱告卻是他所喜悅的。

所有從撒母耳起，以及相繼興起來講話的先知，都曾經宣告這些日子。
