所以你们应当彼此认罪，互相代求，这样你们就可以痊愈。义人祈祷所发出的力量，是大有功效的。

应当毫无忧虑，只要凡事藉着祷告祈求，带着感恩的心，把你们所要的告诉神。

耶和华远离恶人，却垂听义人的祷告。

你们祷告，无论求什么，只要相信，都必得着。”

好让他们可以献馨香的祭给天上的神，为王和王的子孙祈求长寿。

耶和华见利亚失宠，就使她生育，拉结却不生育。

现在你要把那人的妻子还给他，因为他是先知，他要为你祷告，你才可以存活。你若不还给他，你当知道，你和所有属你的，都死定了。”

弟兄们，请为我们祷告。

于是他们派人去召集非利士人各城的首领前来，对他们说：“请把以色列神的约柜送回原处，免得它杀害我们和我们的人民。”死亡的恐慌笼罩全城，因为神的手重重地压在那里。没有死的人都遭受痔疮的打击；那城的哀声，上达于天。

于是提幔人以利法、书亚人比勒达、拿玛人琐法，照着耶和华吩咐他们的去行，耶和华就悦纳约伯的祷告。约伯替他的朋友祷告，耶和华就恢复约伯原来的景况，还照约伯以前所有的一切加倍赐给他。

以色列的圣者，造以色列的主耶和华这样说：“你们可以问我将要来的事，关于我的众子和我手所作的，你们也可以吩咐我回答。

“你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。

恶人的祭物是耶和华厌恶的；正直人的祷告却是他所喜悦的。

所有从撒母耳起，以及相继兴起来讲话的先知，都曾经宣告这些日子。
