Then to Sarah he said,“ Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this vindicates you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked.

又对撒拉说：“我给你哥哥一千银子，作为你在阖家人面前遮羞的，你就在众人面前没有不是了。”

他对撒拉说：“看哪，我给你哥哥一千银子。看哪，这要在你全家人面前遮羞，向众人证实你是清白的。”

他对撒拉说：“看哪，我给你哥哥一千银子。看哪，这要在你全家人面前遮羞，向众人证实你是清白的。”

亚比米勒对撒拉说：“我给你哥哥十一公斤银子，在你家人面前证明你是清白的，你没有做错什么。”

然后他对撒拉说：“看哪，我给你哥哥一千块银子，在所有与你一起的人面前，为你作清白的明证；这样，你在众人面前就无可指责了。”

又對撒拉說：「我給你哥哥一千銀子，作為你在閤家人面前遮羞的，你就在眾人面前沒有不是了。」

他對撒拉說：「看哪，我給你哥哥一千銀子。看哪，這要在你全家人面前遮羞，向眾人證實你是清白的。」

然後他對撒拉說：「看哪，我給你哥哥一千塊銀子，在所有與你一起的人面前，為你作清白的明證；這樣，你在眾人面前就無可指責了。」

謂撒拉曰、我以千金賜爾兄、以蔽爾容於眾前、則爾所行、無不義矣、

謂撒拉曰、我以千金賜爾兄、可蔽爾容、勿令眾見、言此蓋以責之。○

謂撒拉曰、我以千金賜爾兄、為爾蔽面於眾前、及凡偕爾者、言此蓋以責之、或作我以千金賜爾兄可在偕爾者之前以蔽爾羞爾之冤抑則得伸於眾前

To Sarah he said,“ I am giving your brother a thousand shekels of silver. This is to cover the offense against you before all who are with you; you are completely vindicated.”

He said to Sarah,“ I’m giving your brother 25 pounds of silver. This will show everyone with you that I am sorry for what I did to you. You haven’t done anything wrong.”

To Sarah he said,“ Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is a sign of your innocence in the eyes of all who are with you, and before everyone you are vindicated.”

And he said to Sarah,“ Look, I am giving your‘ brother’ 1,000 pieces of silver in the presence of all these witnesses. This is to compensate you for any wrong I may have done to you. This will settle any claim against me, and your reputation is cleared.”

And he said to Sarah,“ Look, I am giving your brother one thousand pieces of silver. It is a verification of your honor to all who are with you. You are fully vindicated.”

To Sarah he said,“ Look, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is your vindication before all who are with you, and before everyone you are cleared.”

And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, it is for thee a covering of the eyes to all that are with thee; and in respect of all thou art righted.

And he said to Sarah,“ Look, I am giving your brother 1,000 pieces of silver. It is a verification of your honor to all who are with you. You are fully vindicated.”

And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand[ pieces] of silver: behold, he[ is] to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that[ are] with thee, and with all[ other]: thus she was reproved.

To Sarah he said,“ Look, I have given a thousand pieces of silver to your‘ brother.’ This is compensation for you so that you will stand vindicated before all who are with you.”

To Sarah he said,“ Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”

Open rebuke is better Than love carefully concealed.

Did he not say to me,‘ she is my sister’? And she, even she herself said,‘ He is my brother.’ In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this.”

for she had said to the servant,“ Who is this man walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said,“ It is my master.” So she took a veil and covered herself.

So the captain came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”

Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

So Abimelech charged all his people, saying,“ He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”

Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

And Joab answered,“ May the Lord make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my Lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my Lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in Israel?”Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem.Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword.But he did not count Levi and Benjamin among them, for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.

Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.
