Abraham replied,“ I thought,‘ There is no respect for God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

亚伯拉罕说：“我以为这地方的人总不惧怕神，必为我妻子的缘故杀我。

亚伯拉罕说：“我以为这地方的人根本不敬畏上帝，必为我妻子的缘故杀我。

亚伯拉罕说：“我以为这地方的人根本不敬畏神，必为我妻子的缘故杀我。

亚伯拉罕回答说：“因为我想这里的人不敬畏上帝，他们必为了夺我妻子而杀我。

亚伯拉罕回答：“因为我以为这地方必定没有敬畏神的人，他们会因我妻子的缘故杀我。

亚伯拉罕回答：“因为我想这地方一定没有敬畏神的人，他们会因我妻子的缘故杀了我。

亞伯拉罕說：「我以為這地方的人總不懼怕神，必為我妻子的緣故殺我。

亞伯拉罕說：「我以為這地方的人根本不敬畏上帝，必為我妻子的緣故殺我。

亞伯拉罕說：「我以為這地方的人根本不敬畏神，必為我妻子的緣故殺我。

亞伯拉罕回答說：「因為我想這裡的人不敬畏上帝，他們必為了奪我妻子而殺我。

亞伯拉罕回答：“因為我以為這地方必定沒有敬畏神的人，他們會因我妻子的緣故殺我。

亞伯拉罕說：『我心裏說，這地方總沒有畏懼上帝的心，總會為了我妻子的緣故來殺我。

亞伯拉罕回答：「因為我想這地方一定沒有敬畏神的人，他們會因我妻子的緣故殺了我。

亞伯拉罕曰、我意此邦不畏上帝、必緣我妻而殺我、

亞伯拉罕曰、我意此邦不畏上帝、恐為我妻而殺我。

亞伯拉罕曰、我意在此者不畏天主、恐緣我妻而殺我、

Abraham replied,“ I said to myself,‘ There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’

Abraham said,“ I did it because I thought,‘ There is no fear of God at all in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’

Abraham replied,“ I thought,‘ This is a godless place. They will want my wife and will kill me to get her.’

Abraham replied,“ I thought,‘ There is absolutely no fear of God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

Abraham said,“ Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.

And Abraham said,“ Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife.

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

Abraham replied,“ I thought,‘ There is absolutely no fear of God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God[ is] not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

Abraham replied,“ Because I thought,‘ Surely no one fears God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

Abraham said,“ Because I thought,‘ Surely the fear of God is not in this place. They will kill me for my wife’s sake.’

The people of Egypt will see you and say,‘ This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me. But they will let you live.

The men of that place asked him about his wife. He said,“ She’s my sister.” He was afraid to say,“ She’s my wife.” He thought,“ The men of this place might kill me because of Rebekah. She’s a beautiful woman.”

Through love and truth sin is paid for. People avoid evil when they have respect for the Lord.

But there had been governors before me. They had put a heavy load on the people. They had taken a pound of silver from each of them. They had also taken food and wine from them. Their officials had acted like high and mighty rulers over them. But because of my great respect for God, I didn’t act like that.

On the third day, Joseph spoke to them again. He said,“ Do what I say. Then you will live, because I have respect for God.

He said to human beings,“ Have respect for the Lord. That will prove you are wise. Avoid evil. That will show you have understanding.”

Do all these people who do evil know nothing? They eat up my people as if they were eating bread. They never call out to the Lord.

To have respect for the Lord is to hate evil. I hate pride and bragging. I hate evil ways and twisted words.

“ Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said.“ Do not harm him. Now I know that you would do anything for God. You have not held back from me your son, your only son.”

There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided evil.

Then you will understand how to have respect for the Lord. You will find out how to know God.

I have a message from God in my heart. It is about the evil ways of anyone who sins. They don’t have any respect for God.They praise themselves so much that they can’t see their sin or hate it.Their mouths speak words that are evil and false. They do not act wisely or do what is good.Even as they lie in bed they make evil plans. They commit themselves to a sinful way of life. They never say no to what is wrong.

“ They don’t have any respect for God.”( Psalm 36:1)

If you really want to gain knowledge, you must begin by having respect for the Lord. But foolish people hate wisdom and instruction.
