神的灵创造了我，全能者的气使我存活。

也不受人手的服事，好像他缺少什么；他自己反而把生命、气息和一切，赐给万人。

你必汗流满面，才有饭吃，直到你归回地土，因为你是从地土取出来的；你既然是尘土，就要归回尘土。”

因为他知道我们的本体，记得我们不过是尘土。

只要我的生命还在我里面，神赐我的气息还在我鼻孔里，

第一个人是出于地，是属土的；第二个人是出于天。

仍在陆地上，鼻孔里有气息的生灵都死了。

耶和华神就把他赶出伊甸园，去耕种他自己也是从那里出来的地土。

你这个人哪，你是谁，竟敢跟神顶嘴呢？被造的怎么可以对造他的说：“你为什么把我做成这个样子呢？”

以下是耶和华的默示，这是耶和华论到以色列的话（是耶和华的宣告，他铺张诸天，奠定大地的根基，造成人里面的灵）：

你们不要倚靠世人，他的鼻孔里只有一口气息，他实在算得什么呢？

要知道耶和华是神；他创造了我们，我们是属他的（“我们是属他的”有古抄本作“不是我们自己”）；我们是他的子民，也是他草场上的羊。

摩西和亚伦就俯伏在地，说：“神啊，万人之灵的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全体会众发怒吗？”

在神面前我与你一样，也是用土捏造的。

还有，肉身的父亲管教我们，我们尚且敬重他们；何况那万灵的父，我们不是更要顺服他而得生吗？

说了这话，就向他们吹一口气，说：“你们领受圣灵吧！

人的灵是耶和华的灯，探照人的脏腑。

大家都到一个地方去，都出于尘土，也都归回尘土。有谁知道人的灵是往上升，牲畜的魂（“魂”的原文与“灵”〔3:21〕和“气息”〔3:19〕相同）是下降而入地呢？”

我们知道，如果我们在地上的帐棚拆毁了，我们必得着从神而来的居所。那不是人手所造的，而是天上永存的房屋。

我要称谢你，因为我的受造奇妙可畏；你的作为奇妙，这是我深深知道的。我在隐密处被造，在地的深处被塑造，那时，我的形体不能向你隐藏。

撕裂有时，缝补有时；静默有时，讲话有时；

我们有这宝贝在瓦器里，是要显明这极大的能力是属于神，不是出于我们。

何况那些住在土屋里，根基在尘土中，比蠹虫还容易被压碎的人呢？
