誰有災禍？誰有憂傷？誰有爭吵？誰有怨言？誰無故受傷？誰兩眼發紅？就是那些沉迷醉鄉，品嚐醇和之酒的人！雖然鮮紅的酒在杯中閃爍，喝下去痛快，但不要盯著它。它終必像蛇一樣傷你，像毒蛇一樣咬你。你的眼會看見怪異的景象，你會神智不清，胡言亂語。你好像躺在怒海中，又像臥在桅杆頂上。你會說：「人打我，我不痛；人揍我，我不知。什麼時候醒了，再乾一杯！」

酒使人放肆，烈酒叫人吵鬧。因酒誤事，實為不智。

「你們任何人不可與近親亂倫。我是耶和華。不可與你母親亂倫而羞辱你父親。她是你的母親，不可與她亂倫。

「用酒灌醉鄰居以觀看他們祼體的人啊，你們有禍了！你們必飽受羞辱，毫無榮耀。你們喝吧，露出下體吧！耶和華右手中的杯將傳給你們，你們的榮耀將變成羞辱。
