這是基於那永恆生命的盼望，而這盼望是那不撒謊的神在亙古以前所應許的。

耶和華如此說：「當新酒在累累葡萄中被發現時，人怎樣說：『不要毀滅它，因為有祝福在其中』，我也要怎樣做——為我僕人們的緣故，不把一切都毀滅。

所以，耶穌無法在那裡行什麼神蹟，只是按手在幾個病人身上，使他們痊癒。

我們如果不信實，他仍然是信實的，因為他不能否定自己。
