then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house,and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

But Lot’s wife looked back longingly and was turned into a pillar of salt.

Jesus said to him,“ No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Run there quickly, for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.”( This incident explains why the town was called Zoar.)

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single- minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

On that day, anyone who is on the roof, with his goods in the house, must not come down to take them away, and likewise the person in the field must not turn back.Remember Lot’s wife!

But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them,“ You offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

Lot looked up and saw the whole region of the Jordan. He noticed that all of it was well-watered( before the LORD obliterated Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, all the way to Zoar.

They will hear,‘ Run! Save yourselves! Even if you must be like a lonely shrub in the desert!’

Elijah was afraid, so he got up and fled for his life to Beer Sheba in Judah. He left his servant there,

I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come?

Then Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law who were going to marry his daughters. He said,“ Quick, get out of this place because the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was ridiculing them.At dawn the angels hurried Lot along, saying,“ Get going! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or else you will be destroyed when the city is judged!”

Saul sent messengers to David’s house to guard it and to kill him in the morning. Then David’s wife Michal told him,“ If you do not save yourself tonight, tomorrow you will be dead!”

The two men turned and headed toward Sodom, but Abraham was still standing before the LORD.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,
