And as they brought them out, one said,“ Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.”

When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered,“ Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”

As soon as the angels got them outside, one of them said,“ Run for your lives! Don’t look back and don’t stop anywhere on the plain! Run to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”

那时，在犹太的人应当逃到山里；在屋顶上的人，不要下来拿屋子里的东西；在田里的人，不要返回去拿自己的衣服。

罗得的妻子在后面回头一望，就变成了一根盐柱。

耶稣对他说：“手扶着犁又看背后之事的人，不配神的国。”

你赶快逃到那里，因为你到达那里之前，我什么也不能做。”因此那城的名字称为琐珥。

弟兄们，我不认为自己已经得着了；但是我有一件事：就是忘记背后，争取前面的，向着目标竭力追求，为了得到那在基督耶稣里、神至高召唤的奖赏。

在那一天，在屋顶上的人，如果东西在屋子里，不要下来拿；同样，在田里的人，也不要转回到背后的事上。你们当记得罗得的妻子！

约翰看见许多法利赛人和撒都该人也来要受他的洗礼，就对他们说：“你们这些毒蛇的子孙！谁指示你们逃避那将要来临的震怒呢？

罗得举目，看见整个约旦河平原直到琐珥都是水源充足之地；在耶和华毁掉所多玛、格摩拉之前，那地好像耶和华的园子，又像埃及地。

我要向群山举目，我的帮助从哪里来？

罗得就出去，告诉将要娶他女儿的女婿们，说：“起来！离开这地方，因为耶和华就要毁灭这城了！”但在他们的眼中，他像是在开玩笑。黎明时分，天使们催促罗得说：“起来！带着你的妻子和你在这里的两个女儿离开，免得你因这城的罪孽被一同除灭。”

扫罗派人到大卫家去监视他，要在清晨杀他。大卫的妻子米甲警告大卫说：“你今夜如果不逃命，明天就会被杀死。”

其中两人转身离开那里往所多玛去，而亚伯拉罕仍然站在耶和华的面前。

那么，如果我们忽视了如此伟大的救恩，又怎么能逃脱报应呢？这救恩起初由主传讲，后来由那些听见的人向我们证实。
