When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

But he hesitated. Because of the LORD’s compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters. They brought him out and left him outside the city.

因為他對摩西說：『我要體恤誰，就體恤誰；我要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰。』這便不是在乎那意願的，也不是在乎那奔跑的，乃是在乎那憐恤人的上帝了。

既然如此，主當然也曉得怎樣援救敬虔的人脫離試煉，怎樣拘留不義的人、等候着審判的日子來受刑罰；

你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他至善；因為他堅固的愛永遠長存。

因為永恆主你的上帝原是滿有憐憫的上帝：他必不放開你，不毁滅你，也不忘記你列祖的約、就是他對他們起誓所立的。

有甚麼人願有壽命，有誰愛好長壽，好經驗美福？

然而他為了他自己之名的緣故還拯救了他們，為要使人知道他的大能；

他救了我們，不是由於我們所行的有甚麼本於義的行為，乃是按照他的憐憫，藉着再生之洗和聖靈之更新力。

他使他行的奇事被記念。永恆主有恩惠，有憐憫；

永恆主在他面前經過，宣告說：『永恆主耶和華，有憐憫有恩惠的上帝，不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛和忠信，

願祝頌歸於我們主耶穌基督的父上帝、憐憫的父、賜各樣安慰的上帝。

那收稅人卻遠遠地站着，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶着胸膛說：「上帝啊，開恩憐憫我這個罪人哦！」

但你呢、主啊，你乃是有憐憫有恩惠的上帝；你不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛和忠信。

於他們一切的患難中。並不是大使、不是天使、乃是他自己的臨在、拯救了他們；是以他的愛和憐惜才贖回了他們；是儘往古之日就懷抱了他們，懷搋了他們。

你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他至善；他堅固的愛永遠長存。

我迅速不躭延地遵守你的誡命。

「永恆主不輕易發怒，乃有豐盛的堅愛；他饒赦罪愆、過犯；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、到三四代。」

你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他至善；因為他堅固的愛永遠長存。

主啊，惟獨你至善，樂意赦免人；凡呼求你的，你就以豐盛的堅愛待他。

永恆主有憐憫、有恩惠，不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛。他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有按我們的罪來待我們，也沒有按我們的罪孽報應我們。

哈利路亞！你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他至善；因為他堅固的愛永遠長存。

永恆主的堅愛永不斷絕，他的憐憫永不止息。

沒有人能來找我，除非差我的父吸引他；我還要使他在末日復起呢。

然而上帝富於憐憫，因他愛我們的盛愛，竟在我們因過犯而死的時候、使我們和基督同活（你們得了救、就是靠着恩）。

父親怎樣憐憫兒女，永恆主也怎樣憐憫敬畏他、的人。

有哪一位神能比得上你、赦免罪孽、不追究你產業之餘民的過犯呢？他不永遠懷怒，因為他喜悅堅愛。他必再憐憫我們，將我們的罪孽踹在腳下，將我們一切的罪投於海的深處。

不，你們要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；要借給他們，絕不期望甚麼。那麼你們的賞報就大了，你們就做了至高者的兒子了；因為他待忘恩負義和邪惡的人都有慈惠。你們要有憐憫的心，正像你們的父有憐憫的心一樣。

約書亞對偵探那地的兩個人說：『進那廟妓女的家，照你們向她所起誓的將那婦人和她一切所有的、都從那裏帶出來。』

這便是他不但願意憐恤誰，就憐恤誰、而且願意叫誰剛愎、就叫誰剛愎了。
